Freiburg came from behind to beat Augsburg 2–1 after Michael Gregoritsch opened the scoring for the hosts in the 18th minute. That lead survived into the second half before Igor Matanovic equalised after 65 minutes and Cyriaque Irié scored the winner in the 85th.
Twenty minutes separated the equaliser from the decisive finish on the published goal clock. The comeback therefore had two clear stages: cancelling Augsburg’s advantage and taking a new lead near the end. It was more than a late rescue of a draw, turning a losing position into a victory.
