Eintracht Frankfurt beat Hamburg 3–1 on 1 November after the teams reached half-time at 1–1. Frankfurt’s opener was an own goal by Hamburg defender Warmed Omari in the tenth minute, with Terem Moffi equalising four minutes later. ESPN’s match record.

The hosts regained the lead immediately after the break when Raphael Onyedika scored following a corner in the 47th. Younes Ebnoutalib added the third after 69 minutes from a Can Uzun assist on a fast break, as recorded in ESPN’s event timeline.

The difference in chances was greater than the difference in possession. Frankfurt had only 51.9 per cent of the ball but put ten of their 15 attempts on target, against Hamburg’s three from 12. Onyedika and Ebnoutalib provided the second-half finishes that separated the sides.
