Bayern Munich beat Magdeburg 6–1 in the German Cup with a Michael Olise double and goals from four other players. Olise opened the scoring after ten minutes, but Mateusz Zukowski equalised five minutes later. Ismael Saibari restored Bayern’s lead in the 21st minute.

Olise converted a penalty after 50 minutes, and Alphonso Davies, Nathaniel Brown and David Daiber supplied the final three goals. Bayern therefore led by only one at half-time before adding four unanswered goals in the second period, a sequence that explains how the final margin became so large.

ESPN records 19 Bayern attempts and eight on target, compared with nine Magdeburg attempts and two on target. The result combined a broader spread of scorers with a difference in accurate attempts. Magdeburg’s early equaliser nevertheless remains part of the match story rather than disappearing behind the six-goal headline.
